Pure Wool passes testing with flying colours

Keen followers of the Sisal & Seagrass blog will be well versed in Pure Wool’s benefits, a collection that’s not only beautiful and super soft to the touch, but also ideal for allergy sufferers who struggle with conventional carpet choice.

A design-led, allergy friendly carpet range that’s now available in four striped colour combinations – what’s not to like? We’ve been delighted with how the Pure Wool portfolio has grown, so much so that we showcased it at this year’s Allergy & Free From Show, in London’s Olympia venue. It’s rare to find floorcoverings that steer completely clear of chemicals and pesticides, but this is exactly what Pure Wool does!

Customers will be delighted to hear that our Pure Wool fibres have now received official accreditation from BTTG Testing & Certification Limited. Carried out at the British Carpet Technical Centre, our Pure Wool fibres were put through their paces, testing for ‘volatile organic compounds’, in other words substances that could cause problems for those who suffer from allergies or reactions.

We’re glad to say the outcome was as predicted, Pure Wool passing each stage with flying colours! Gaining such accreditation proves our search for the very best in underfoot comfort and practicality is a worthwhile one, as Sisal & Seagrass continues to turn to only the very highest quality products. Although it feels great to see the customer testimonials dropping through the mail box (see previous blog posts), being tested to European standards certainly adds weight to our ‘Pure Wool’ push.
