Natural fibre products whether they are plant fibres or wool, often have slight, natural variations in the thickness of the fibre or the tone of colour. There could also be knots visible in some products where the fibres are joined together to be woven and some stray fibres . These inherent characteristics are part of the charm of natural flooring adding to its beauty and creates a further dimension to the look of the floor. Like all natural products, natural fibre may fade faster than synthetic carpets in direct sunlight. Slight colour variation may occur between samples and finished product. We would recommend the use of Intec carpet protector on all natural flooring.

Sisal is an organic fibre that can transform any interior. Available in a wide range of beautiful designs and colours, sisal is also strong and versatile; essentially, the best of both worlds. It is derived from the leaf fibre of the plant Agave Sisalana traditionally used for rope manufacture. The leaves are crushed, washed, dried and then the fibres are extracted and spun into a yarn. This yarn is then woven into an array of weave designs.

For use in most locations within the home apart from high moisture areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, sisal can be fully fitted like a carpet or made into a stunning, individual custom made rug to your own size. Choose your own colour border from our comprehensive range to give your rug that sought after personal touch.

Inherently strong and resistant, seagrass is a grass grown in paddy fields and the fields are flooded with sea water during the growing season. For use in most locations within the home apart from high moisture areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, seagrass flooring can be fully fitted wall to wall or made into a superb custom made rug to your own size. Choose your own border from our comprehensive range, the perfect accompaniment to the beautifully textured seagrass.

This product is made from 100% British wool and unlike any other carpet available in the market, has not been made using any chemical dyes or pesticides. It is ideal for people who may suffer from allergic reactions to chemicals or people who just want to know they have not only bought a truly natural carpet, but have also supported British manufacturing at its finest.

Not only is this product chemical free but it’s also one of the greenest carpets available. All the wool used to make the carpets is sourced from sheep farms within 100 miles of the factory in the Cumbrian countryside, meaning the lowest carbon footprint of any flooring we know. It comes in five shades of natural wool based on the breed of sheep, and we are happy to send samples so you can see and feel the beauty for yourself.

Viscose is a man-made fibre created from wood pulp. This comes under the section of regenerated cellulosic fibres. An inexpensive product that dyes easily and is non-static in nature, it has a unique lustre and brilliancy. Due to this, Viscose is often referred to as faux silk and artificial silk beside its generic name of Rayon. Viscose is a less expensive alternative to real silk. Viscose fibres can be dyed in brilliant colours using cellulosic dyes. As its Amorphous region is more than other natural cellulosic fibres like cotton, its shade depth under similar conditions is higher than cotton, its moisture absorbency is higher as 13% compared to that of 8% in case of cotton. This property makes it very much skin friendly and soft. But the fibre is bit delicate due to the same reason.

This flooring choice is produced using the outer bark of the cork tree, a species which grows mainly in Mediterranean climes. Cork trees have a lifespan of around 200 years, but crucially regenerate themselves quickly once harvesting has taken place. Harvesting is always carried out in a sustainable manner, ensuring the tree is never felled or removed.

With ‘eco’ increasingly on the agenda, Quick Cork represents an ideal opportunity for homeowners to help care for the planet. Cork trees have a fantastic ability to retain carbon, fixating five times more than their conventional counterparts, and help to preserve nature’s communities and habitats. Crucially for us, cork is perfect for turning into high quality flooring, with warmth, comfort and sound absorption among the credentials on offer.

Quick Cork will not absorb dust and is resistant to bacteria and fungus. This again enhances its reputation as a product that cares for all members of the household, with underfoot options that will not cause allergies or pose a risk to asthma sufferers (very similar to our pure wool offering). All components of Quick Cork are manufactured using formaldehyde-free materials, and Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions will not be found.
