Non-Toxic Carpets
What makes ordinary carpet toxic?
There are close to 44 toxic substances found in ordinary broadloom carpets and carpet tiles according to a report produced by the Healthy Building Network (HBN).
Toxic chemicals found in carpeting include unnatural stain treatments, flame retardants, antimicrobial preservatives, and PVCs. Environmental experts say that these different forms of chemicals or VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), are all known to have potential to adversely affect the health of those exposed.
How our carpets are different.
Our entire range of natural floor coverings are VOC free and at no point in production are there any chemicals added. These wonderful materials also benefit from being naturally flame retardant and moth proof, and all colour ways are produced using vegetable dyes.
