No Glue Carpets
This range of carpets are unique in that they are able to be installed without the need for glue or, as known in the carpet fitting industry, the double stick system.
As these carpets do not need to use the double stick system they are also able to be fitted using alternative underlays to what is usually used. Our AirFlow underlay can be used with any of the carpets within this range.
What is the double stick system?
The double stick system is the typical way that most natural carpets are installed. The method requires a heavy duty underlay to be stuck to the subfloor and then the carpet stuck to the underlay. This method is effective but some with severe chemical intolerances may prefer an installation method that does not include glue.
Although the double stick method does use glue to adhere the carpets to the floor, this glue is usually low in VOCs and typically off gasses completely within a few days.
