Replacing your old carpet with a new natural carpet can be an exciting and refreshing upgrade for your home. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.
1. Contact us for a free measure request
The first step to getting your new natural flooring installed is to contact us at Sisal & Seagrass for a free measure request. One of our experts will come to your home to measure the area and provide you with an accurate quote. This will help ensure that you order the correct amount of carpet and avoid any unexpected costs.

2. Choose your flooring type and colour
Once you have received your quote, it’s time to choose the type of carpet you want. We offer a range of natural flooring options, including Sisal Carpet and Seagrass Carpets. You can also choose from a variety of colours to match your existing décor or create a new look for your space.
3. Place your natural carpet order
Once you have chosen the type and colour of natural flooring you want, you can place your order online. You will receive a confirmation email, which will let you know when the carpet will arrive at our warehousing. Once the carpet has arrived, we will ship it directly to your home or the company you have arranged to fit it, so that it is in the right place for installation. Our team takes care to ensure that your new natural flooring is delivered safely and securely, so that you can enjoy your new carpet with peace of mind.
Remember you can also order underlay for your natural flooring through us to use for your natural flooring. Read this blog on ‘Why Underlay Matters‘ to help figure out which underlay you need to purchase for which type of carpet.
4. Book in your fitting date with a fitter
We have a network of fitters across various parts of the country, and we can recommend one that covers your area. If you’re in the London area, we will likely recommend our sister company, Robert Clements. Alternatively, you can always just look up “natural carpet fitter near me” and use someone closest to you, just make sure to double check that they do in fact have experience in fitting natural carpets like sisal and seagrass flooring before committing to use them as not all fitters will be able to install this type of carpet. Once you’ve chosen a fitter, you can book a fitting date that works for both parties.
We also feel that it is necessary at this stage to make clear that natural carpets can be used for stairs either fully fitted or as edged natural runners. This is contrary to popular belief that they are not suitable. Read more on using natural carpets for stairs on our FAQs page.
5. Pay final invoice for fitting
Once your new Sisal or Seagrass flooring has been fitted, you will receive a final invoice for the fitting. Our fitters take pride in their work and strive to ensure that your new carpet is installed to the highest standard.
6. Admire your new natural carpet
Now it’s time to admire your beautiful new Sisal or Seagrass Carpet! Take some pictures and tag us on Facebook and social media for a shoutout. You can enjoy your new natural flooring for years to come, knowing that it is a durable, eco-friendly carpet and a stylish addition to your home.
