On a rather warm couple of days in July the Sisal & Seagrass team took over two gorgeous properties to undertake our latest photoshoot. With our professional photographer Olly, and talented stylist Charlotte plus an army of volunteers we managed to makeover (and put back together!) fourteen rooms to achieve some knockout new shots of our rugs and carpets.
After a lot of planning and styling ideas we chose two very different properties that could highlight the versatility of natural carpets and rugs within in modern, contemporary, or classic and traditional homes.
The first property embodied the looks of hygge and scandi styling. With some cleverly chosen accessories by our stylist the roomsets had all the must have extras to get the ideal setting for our photographer. The results are some knock-out shots that show how calming our natural floors can be in contemporary homes. We particularly loved this bedroom shot which emphasises the delicate patterns created from the herringbone pattern of Agra Platinum.
The second property we chose for our photoshoot was a huge modern, open plan house. It threw up some unique problems with a full glazed gable end and a large space to fill with rugs and carpets. Homes have changed so much in the last year and we wanted to show how our rugs can be used perfectly in home office spaces. After some impromptu flat pack assembling we had ourselves a stylish desk which complimented beautifully with our Olympia rug. With a focus on connecting with nature, our plant shelfie worked a treat as a back drop.
Our photoshoot included some traditional favourites along with our latest Country Boucle collection – Poppy Field and Wild Meadow. If you haven’t seen these already, they’re naturally dyed stripe patterned natural floors that can be used to create rugs or carpet. We’re sure you’ll agree that they are stunning alternatives to plainer options.
